getfit 2015: update 1

Last Friday was 2nd session of workout after 1 day rest. Was not that bad, except that i over-stressed my arms or biceps for pushups. The MiFit app wasn't working right, but i can get this feel-good sensation, lots of sweat and workout done.

Tweaked the sequence a bit so that i don't topple myself over on occasion that i pushed too hard during pushup (not likely though, people get less reckless as they grow older lol).

Below is from yesterdays session. MiFit surprised me by doing a proper data record update. What i did was going to application manager, Mifit & clear both cache & app data , then sign in & sync my band again, though on first try it did not work. Now i can see my past week statistics, will try to let the app sync to the band while stationary.

Latest workout circuit. 3 reps total, 2 before jog & 1 last rep as warp-up.

a)  25x squats - increase difficulty by doing prison squat if possible
b) 5x handstands
c) 25x jumping jacks
d) 10x pushups
e) 25x butt kicks
f) 25x flutter kickcs
g) 10x vertical jumps

To be fair i started with ~2.5km already done, everyday i get an average number close to this as i parked my car ~500m away from office for 2 perks.
#1 is automatically force a short walk-exercise ~500m one way means i will hit at least 1km each day.
#2 free parking, save RM3 per day mean 20x3 = RM60 saved a month, 12X60 = RM720.

5km total, means that jog one full circuit and one small circuit might be not sufficient.
Still, not bad for a healthy + frugality pack.

Cut down my dinner portions as i have them too late, reached home ~9pm daily. For other meals, try to go for more vege and fruits, less carbs.

Last thing to tackle will be sleep. Statistics can be quite scary..

let's leave the topic for a different post.

Terror Attack? 3: more updates

News portal nowadays filled with similar titles like these.

Khalid yesterday confirmed that the man, whom he said was picked up at the Setiawangsa LRT station and not the Jelatek station as previously reported, admitted to being instructed by his Syrian comrades to stage the suicide attack

Malaysians are in favour of ISIS (2nd highest support in the world):
"Malaysians have abnormally high levels of sympathy for the IS terrorist group, according to a recent Pew Research Centre study that showed over one in 10 here (10%) viewed the organisation favourably.
Expressed support for IS was higher only in Nigeria as rated by the Institute of Economics and Peace’s Global Terrorism Index 2015.
In neighbouring Indonesia — the largest Muslim country in the world by population — 79 per cent of respondents said they were against IS, with just four per cent saying they were positive about the organisation."

So 10% of Malaysians, vs 4% Indons. Hancur lah.
If yes, then why oh why.., again, i guess only crazy people can understand them.

Many roadblocks can be seen around Kelana/Petaling Jaya areas when we went out for lunch today.

Semua pihak diminta hentikan buat spekulasi tentang k’daan k’lamatan Bandaraya/Negara kita yg merunsingkan Rakyat. @PDRMasia sentiasa bersedia.” (“All parties should stop speculating about our national security which will only make everyone anxious about it. @PDRMasia is always prepared.”)
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) had also come out with a statement denying claims that specific places around the city were being targeted by terrorist groups.
PDRM corporate communications chief Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the statement given by the IGP last Thursday was only to assure that the authorities were beefing up security around tourist hot spots in the city.
“The increase in the number of of police personnel is also to assure the public that PDRM is always prepared for any possibilities,” she said, advising people not to easily believe information which was not officially released by national security agencies. - Therakyatpost

This book, we bought from BBW2015 as well. No idea how to read it until i found this video on youtube. Pretty catchy and good animation, will share more videos that might interest people with growing toddler/kids here.

Baby E likes it, she seems more inclined towards rhymes and sound.

Not long after this...
