Mobile game app: Play to Earn - Merge cats and Crypto dragon

Recently has been reading on crypto currency blabla.

So i stumble upon merge games or so i call it. It allows us to open up a crptosoul wallet, where we can transfer the converted currency into Metamask account.

Source:https://cryptosoul.io

Interested ? You can jump into it right here - both games referral link below.

https://mergecat.page.link/FJpuEK9ZJjUKw2mM7

Take note the game doesn't work on Huawei app/direct download to Huawei phones.

Probably get like 1 LIS every 1-2 days. Just play at leisure, invest nothing to have hopefully some small value crpto sitting around in the metaverse ?

It's a dumb merge game, just for us to relax and pace out, nothing to lose out at this moment. So no harm to give it a try yo.

Vampire's fall: origins (android game)

image from google playstore

What to do during MCO time? Stay home and game , well that is when kids no need my attention.
Anyway, this one is quite a good one and brings back memories of turn based RPG + diablo-ish feels. Story is pretty good too.

It's an open world RPG so , you also get the freedom of running around as you like and probably encouraged to. So resembles Fallout 1/2 series a little as well. Combat is a turn based style and don't expect great graphics here.

Another great thing is the game is pretty F2P and the ad/game store concept is pretty cool. Try it to experience it i would say. The game conversation is not as bold/punky as fallout else it would be gold standard.

If playing casually i think this will take up ~2 weeks time, abit lesser if going for main quest only or if you look around reddit /google for walkthroughs.

2019 New Year

It's another year and i came back here. Only had 2 entry last year, still with the crazy company, had a crazy schedule. 2 lil ones growing fast..

What we did in New Year day, its off on Tuesday.

Finally weaning off SW ? This is the latest craze that keeps me sane from all the overworking and long hours over the year end craze at work.

DD war in Last Shelter.

Just noticed i didn't even manage to blog about Beryl sales in 2018. Was looking forward to 2019 sales. Time to check out of the blog post again.

Some flash backs of Dec/Nov. Too much photos to search back now 😂

Android and PC apps 2016 - What i use (or currently in use)

 image via googleimage

My concept of using tools/app, always use free ones unless it's really crucial to your daily productivity or entertainment. List of 2016 , will be interesting to compare what i have at the end of 2017.

d) Flipboard , open once in a blue moon
e) Pinterest , more like look look and see see
f) Google chrome, gateway to the great Mr. G

Running/Songs
a) Music Huawei inbuild
b) Endomondo
c) Spotify ,free 2GB per month
d) Mapmyrun/Myfitness/Mi Fit (retired)

Navigation

b) Waze

image via googleimage

Entertainment
a) Facebook
b) Summoners War
c) Growcastle
d) Pokemon Go
e) Sky Force Reloaded
f) Youtube/YTKids
g) Monkeyjunior

i) Foobar - PC music player, superlight and nice

Others/Productivity
a) Whatsapp
b) Manis - keep my receipts and collect points
c) Photos - my cloud photo backups
d) Evernote / Keep(retired) - keep some notes on phone
e) Yahoo Mail
f) Vysor/Airdroid - use PC control & view mobile, too buggy to try.
g) Torch Huawei inbuild
h) Shazam
i) Messenger
j) VPN Master
k) Grab (Myteksi)
l) Dropbox on PC

2016 spent on App: RM0 (f2p & free app).

Looking forward to explore use of TVBox and the likes this year. Again need to evaluate cost, effort and practicality of use.

Android game - Growcastle

image via googleplay

Here is one game that will let you play offline, pretty rare nowadays. Simple tower defense game that gives you option to upgrade archers & special characters on the fort. The game don't really have much objective - defend, collect gold, move on to next wave. Every 5 wave brings a boss at the end of wave. Pretty fun while it, but might get old after a while, depending on your tolerance for grinding.

Someone hit wave 6.5k+ and above already on reddit.

Here is a general tip from my experience.

Get on the bonus gold stuff, trophy , items with gold bonus. Build up your colony fast for passive income & keep the game running for passive income. This way you will hardly get overrun by running waves too fast.

Use summon stone items, these summons last till end of each wave and don't need user to trigger start of each wave.

With latest update, you get 3 setups, one for passive income generation , one setup for normal wave and one full offensive setup for colony conquest. Other than colony conquest, i don't see much objective in the game. CP points now got replaced with crystals, and crystals can be used to skip wave.
Goffy looking moster boss just to add to the fun - image via googleplay

So what i do now is keep repeating boss levels for scrolls to upgrade colony income and use crystal to move 20 wave at a time. Crystals become quite useless once all your fort characters get upgraded.

A lot to read on reddit if you are into this sort of stuff =)

Happy grinding people =)

Benefit of having both Mapmyrun & Endomondo

Here is another new thing i discovered today. I got this in my mailbox, that's the challenge i enrolled in with Maymyrun previously and it's being updated.

Really cool stuff , so this means that the apps are syncing between mapmyrun and endomondo records despite my using of Endomondo only for this week. In short, it's a 2-way update instead of just pushing old records from mapmyrun to endomondo, pretty thoughtful & neat stuff =)

The best part is, i don't even have Mapmyfitness downloaded at all before.

Sync your history workout from Mapmyrun to Endomondo

Was pondering on what i can do when i decided to hop onto Endomondo app after using Mapmyrun app for a while. So i gave it a long shot, drop the customer service a Request for help knowing that they are now under the same family UA. *Take note these are for Android app

That's quite a surprise now, even after i used my yahoo email for Mapmyrun and my gmail on Endomondo it still worked. Super cool, here is what i did.

1) Login to Endomondo website, sign in. Hover over my profile logo (top right) , a dropdown list will appear.

2) Click My Setting , Add my yahoo email into my profile.

3) From here click Connect. Check the box to include your previous workout.

Below the email reply that i get from Endomondo support team less than 15min after i sent it over.

Mucho gracias Solvi =)

Result of syncing my history. I got back up to my records so far, instead of starting over fresh since this Monday. Kudos and good job Endomondo.

Now to go on with getfit2016 plan, added another app MyFitnessPlan. Get consistent with 5K target, min 4 runs per week and improve my speed/pace. Not so sure if this really helps yet.

Sync google account contacts between phones

Only 2 cases i can think of that you will need to sync your phone contacts between phones.

a) you are changing to a new smartphone. Congrats!
b) you are using 2 phones. Congrats too, symmetrical radiation we get >_<

Ok, back to the topic. Since we received the Mate 8 as company phone, I've been wondering how to sync new bunch of phone contacts i added to old phone to new phone.

My previous trick was to use ContactBackup app and email the contact file to your phone- open it and it should automatically load into your phone. But not practical enough for sync over time.

So a quick google provides the solution- Google account/app.

Pre-requirment - login/create-then-login your Google app account (same account as Gmail actually). In Setting, make sure you enable sync contacts on phone A before you want to sync tophone B.

The general steps to do this is as below: (Full details can read from this link.)

Step 1
Press the menu button on the Android device and tap “Settings.”

Step 2
Tap “Accounts and sync.”
 Step 3
Tap the “Add account” button.
Step 4
Tap “Google.”

Step 5
Tap the “Next” button.
Step 6
Tap “Sign in” and enter your Gmail login information. If you don’t already have a Gmail account, tap the “Create” button instead and fill in the form provided.
Step 7
Tap the “Sign in” button. The device will download the Gmail account’s information.
Step 8
Tap the “Sync Contacts” option.

Step 9
Tap the “Finish” button.
Tested & it's working, so here's one geeky lifehack to sync with one phone to another devices where you want to make calls to contacts you added to your other phone.

Mobile game: Summoners War: Sky Arena

Ahh, Summoner wars. Been on this one for some time. 1.5 yrs roughly, longest game i had on my mobile game history up to date. Very decent game with good animation and superb effort by developer team. Kudos and good job to Com2US.

By far the most updated games i experienced, will see at least 1 event every alternate weekend and new updates balance coming up and or some festival related event.

It's a pretty (graphics) game that puts you in a role of a summoner, so kind of like cool pokemon-type with pretty graphics. Add on Runes system to make things really interesting.

Daily rotation of Dungeons to hunt for essenses needed to evolve monsters, farm better runes or even secret dungeons that allow users to collect pieces of summoning stone for a new monster.

Story mode is pretty good to help beginners get up to speed with game mechanism. What keeps me playing on is the replayability and passive play mode - autoplay (once you setup your Monsters party and rune them properly- all these makes the big difference in game).

Game play: Puts monsters in front of your screen (player as summoner perspective) to control turn based fight. A little bit like tactical rpg game or hit autoplay- the AI gets a little better nowadays with developers taking in feedbacks from players actively. It's a free to play with in game purchase. Don't worry i still can get by without buying any in-game cash so far.

But be warned that drop/summon rates are really low ~1 digit% for 4* summon and <0.x% for 5*. Up to date only have a Fire dragon-knight as my sole summoned Nat5*. However, those who are patient can go the fusing route for Dark Ifrit/Wind valkyrie/water phoenix and also get ifrit stones from Guild war points exchange, which is pretty fair to me. Achievable, just don't give up! :)

Combination of monster skills makes this game tick uniquely- attacker, defensive, support, utility type, healers. Try to observe the buff and debuff in game, which can tip the tide of battle to your side. Attack bar movers/remover, speed/atk/def buff,armor/attack/slow debuff, leader skills , dispels and attacks proportionate to def/hp/current hp etc..

Other game mode is Trial of Ascensions, World boss and Guild wars all for lucrative rewards in game. Don't forget to clear daily arena challenge for free gems. The gem system is pretty fair in this game.Do all these game mode to get free gems. Of course you can speed up by using cash but not a 100% guarantee since summons are all random.

Again would stress that nothing makes the game much better than developers working around the clock, dropping players events on almost every festive seasons, consistent balancing updates and new exciting monsters addition constantly. Link of googleplay here.

gotta get em all! LOL

Tips for beginners:
a) Run story mode up to Faimon and farm for Fire Inugami. This guy is a great farmer, but don't bring him up to 6*. He is probably useful enough till you get better monsters.
b) Collect gems and buy special mystic scroll package. 10x scrolls + 1 each of element-mon
c) Check the daily shop - buy mystic scroll if you are rich enough
d) Do the daily missions for free 10 gems.
e) Keep and hold on to 4* above till you find out more. Each have their usefulness..i fodder'ed Lumirecia on the 3 month of play without knowing she is one of the best healers in game... *face palm*
f) Keep an eye out for good % runes at position 2,4, and 6. I initially ran up some monsters to 4* naively with numerical atk, def, hp and was wondering why they are so freaking weak. ROFL.

after you get started a while you will be able to relate to & understand this funny video:

Telco news: Maxis update

This is an interesting twist to the Maxis rant saga that's going on right now. Looks like they are going into red alert mode now.
Read the lowyat post & it's CEO+Business strategy manager's apology video here.

Got this SMS last week.

Highlights

All MaxisONE Plans will soon be upgraded with much more data.
All existing MaxisONE Plan customers will automatically enjoy the upgrade before the end of the month.
Maxis will be giving all MaxisONE Plan customers free 3GB data from 14th of April to tide them over until their next bill refresh.
Enterprise MaxisONE Business plans will also be getting an upgrade soon.
Any new MaxisONE Plan customers from today onwards will also automatically get the upgrade before the end of the month.(source)

At least there is now more data upgrade for Maxis users (or soon to be). Still inferior unlimited voice/SMS + data plan price-wise compared to other telco plans, but it's a much better package now. The choice is still ours to make, whether we really need coverage everywhere or just in urban areas is fine.

Celcom is still offering same package with 10Gb at RM80/month so there are still many who complains after this announcement.  Well, at least these guys are doing something now. Well done people. Wish this can happen with our gomen too.
