getfit2016 conclusion & getfit2017 goals

Last time i check my weight in Nov 2016, in total i lost about 3~ kg after i started jogging on regular basis starting from March 2016 except for Dec month where personal circumstances prevents me from doing so and May where i traveled to Shenzhen for ~3 weeks.

The rest of the getfit2016 summary can summarize below;

My getfit2017 goal is to upgrade each baseline run to 5.5KM for H1 and raise it to 6KM for H2. End of this duration basically go slow till i hit 35-40 minutes minimum. Might consider core training either pre/post jog, but time is abit constrained.

Mapmyrun i already uninstalled from phone to remove clutter, so it does seem to stop updating from then onwards.

Here is towards a better and more successful getfit2017. Hope all my personal agendas can fully settle down by May 2017.

Qi Xiang Fish Head Steamboat @ Raja Uda, Butterworth

Mum decided for steamboat dinner near Raja Uda area. This is on comfy shop to have steamboat in aircon shop-at least at the time we visited as it's less crowded at the time ~8.30pm.

GPS location: 5.4300694,100.381862

Parking seems hard to find, we had to part on open space beside the lot. There are 2 attendants standing watch for the carpark with their lazy chairs placed nearby so it looks pretty secure. Costs RM2 per car.

This is the one I'm talking about, was googling about for it, seems like its uniquely a Malaysian thing - aka 'Kuaile Lazy Chairs' or so TIL :P

No idea what it writes haha.

Order the main soup that comes with pieces of fried fish head, then make order ala HK restaurant style of steamboat ingredients. They also serve a imitation abalone, which i think tastes almost like the real thing. We ordered a jar of chrysanthemum drink which goes perfectly with the meal.

Main big soup @ RM60 , with generous orders of sides/ingredients total up the cost at RM175 for 8 adults + 1 toddler. Average of RM20 per pax quite a good price considering we don't order noodles/rice at all and still get stuffed at the end of the meal.

Steamboat has always been superb on winter/in very cold places where you get to eat steamy hot steamboat to warm you up as you gobble up soup , veges and usually meat/balls accompanied with spiced condiments. Enough said on usual steamboat fantasies, at the time we visited we experienced similar environment- the not too crowded eatery means the aircon is colder so, it really builds up the mood for eating steamboat :)

The soup base is outstanding, sweetness from yam with a hint of saltiness. It's almost perfect as i can have a few bowl of just the soup. The fried fu zuk or tau kee , fish and veges also helps make the soup too good to resist. I came with my stomach half full, and thought i will be sick halfway through the meal, but this place proves my stomach/perception that your senses dulls if your stomach is full wrong. Interestingly the soup is not cooked with ham choi or salted vege, so this one is more skewed to northern style fish head yam soup.

Thumbs up, would recommend this to all you steamboat lovers out there.

Low Yew Multi-grain Soya Milk Truck @ Low Yew Sg Petani

This stall used to be inside the kopitiam, now it's a truck stall -i'm guessing more mobile & save on rental payment. The owner is non other than the old man's son who also sells at the same place

GPS location:5.6404222,100.4844288

It's right after Public Bank and you can just do 'park & buy' right infront of Low Yew coffee shop. This pin is added in googlemap by yours truthfully haha.

If you like thick & filling soy drink this is the place to try out. Cheap & nice, i like the fact that it's not overly sweet in taste.

RM2.50 for pretty original low sugary tasting multi grain soya milk it's quite a bargain.
What else can we ask for? :)

Peeling paint Solution

Part 2 of painting wall. This time it's water type paint. But one old and cheap bastard I don't know is using super cheap paint or very poor workmanship with long overdue repainting to be done left a mess there.. This become a pain in the ass.

Solution:
Google and youtube a bit, and found that need some filling compound or some ang mohs call the paint primer, let dry, then sandpaper the surface before can repaint.

No matter how many times we paint, when got flaking/peeling paint surface it will look like below :(

Went to hardware shop & they sell me a bag of plaster/filling powder and also got 1 piece of those black colored sandpaper for the job. Total cost RM3.

Just need to mix to water a little at a time, this thing dries up pretty fast and start pasting it over the surface. Was sitting there waiting for it to dry, apparently need 1-2 days to dry =_=||

Before

When trying to pain the bathroom side leak, then only realized that cannot paint over, ask flaking paint due to water leak will peel, end up need to scrape out all the 'bloated' paint. An easy repaint job becomes so much more work.
