Halong Bay with Huong Hai Sealife Cruise Halong

One of the highlight of this year's trip @ Halong Bay,Vietnam. The cost is approximately RM850/ pax at current exchange rate for a 2D1N trip includes van transfer from Hanoi to harbor, may differ for each cruise company.

This is an impressive leisure cruise with very dedicated staff. Details of cruise with itinerary can get from their website.

From Vinashin dock,we take a small boat over to the cruise ship. Pleased to see that they adhere strictly to safety rules, requesting all to wear lifejacket even for a short <10min ride. I wore the jacket for <5 min, was struggling to wear as i had my backpack on.

Lobby area @ Level 1, we are welcomed by drumbeats, welcome drinks & warm towels.

View from deck.

Briefing of cruise schedules at Dining area by the captain.

Giant bowl & chopstick at entrance of dining area.

 Lunch starts, pretty decent food.

Got the king size bed in a cozy room for us 2+1 family.

Room is quite spacey for a ship type.

Private corridor for each room, can enjoy the calm sea breeze at leisure. Perfect for honeymoon ;)

After lunch is the boat anchors & we took the small boat out to CongDo cave. A little <10 min hike, short cave exploring. There is a little beach with crystal clear water, but too cold to play in it during early Feb weather. Still nice to sit down & relax.

Dinner comes after kayaking session. At night, there is a spring roll making session taught by no other than the captain himself.

At night, there is a countdown to Chinese New Year 1st day, but with a toddler tagging along, we skipped this. Already at 0 stamina at this stage.

Breakfast next morning @ 7am before departing for next visit.

Chocolate cake, sweet treats

Green bean soup & longan+lotus seed dessert.

Yumm

Fishing village Vung Vieng by small boats the next morning.

If have enough photos (many in RAW form), will post separately haha.

Spectacular morning view @ Halong Bay

Actually all shot by Note 2 Samsung. Easy posting via Google photo.

Take a seat on the deck bench for some sun bath.

Sunny on deck

Baby on board

Plenty of time on deck for nice scenery, photography and sunset/sunrise watching.

The helpful, friendly and professional staff & captain makes the trip wonderful. You see the same staff handling everything from boating check in/out, welcome drums, dinner dance performance, trips to Cong Do cave & Vung Vieng fishing village. Captain hosting the dinner, new year party, spring roll making session & morning taichi session himself.
Impressive team work & brings multitasking to a different level. Full respect.

Good food, good scenery and good weather, what else to ask for =)

Should at least try this once in a lifetime for the luxurious experience and excursion from busy daily routines.

If there is next time, will definitely try their wooden traditional boat.
