ABC Ah Peng Ice Shaved Red Bean @ Sungai Petani

This place needs no introduction. Famous for it's unique variety of iced shaving or more specifically ang tau kar aka ice shaved red bean. When people mentioned Sungai Petani, first food that comes to mind is not farmer la..it's the famous ang tau kar.

Located inside the old bus station in town, just drive in the narrow roads among taxis and ancient stalls and locate the big Wan Chai kuih reben sign board. This stall handled by the old aunty and her relative is right beside it.

Here is your landmark. It's the right hand side stall behind the bamboo shade.

There is also ABC ais kacang at RM2 per bowl if not mistaken, and many types of shaved ice to choose. They call it the red bean mesin, kelapa mesin, kacang tanah mesin. Well,you get the point ya.

Coconut at RM3.50 each. Still too far in terms of freshness quality compared Tun Haji Mohd's fresh coconut

Ordered a plate of rojak at RM3. Good but small plate and red bean shave topped with Milo powder at RM2.30 per glass.

Here is the goodness that's alternative to milo dinosaur, definitely a must if you happen to be in town & have the craving for a sweet cold ang tau kar.
