DIY Mulberry leaf tea

Mulberry leaf use to make tea give quite a lot of benefit. There is a mulberry tree opposite my house that my neighbor grows and happily allow us to pick the fruit and now leaves also.

Mulberry leaf was used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was used to expel wind and clearing heat, clearing the liver, and improving vision. Other uses in TCM include relieving cough and cold symptoms, curing dizziness, promoting healthy blood, curing dysentery, treating stomachache, supporting liver function strengthening the eyes,, and sustaining youthful skin.(source)

Another benefit is that it's free to make my own mulberry leaf as alternative to tea leaves. Really easy steps as below:

a) Pick good young leaf from tree, skip those with white spots etc
b) Wash thoroughly under running water
c) Leave in the sun for couple of hours to dry - below pic shows dry leaf after only 3 hours in sun!
d) store & keep for brewing for cooling off body heat.

Little helper helping me wash. More Montessori activities for her in future.

Just 3 hours in sun & its already sun dried.

Store in air-tight bag.

Pretty appropriate haha. except this tree is not organic la i guess, maybe better maybe worse as i don't see my neighbor put any fertilizer. Just keep cutting off the tree from growing too big.

Mix with chrysanthemum flower & pour in hot water, let sit for couple minutes.

Bland tea, similar to mint tea drink minus the mint taste.
Real natural yellow color imma cup now.
